Fluffy is our beloved male Cockatiel and one of our earliest rescues. Discovered as a stray, we were unable to locate his previous family. Fluffy loves to sing throughout the day and has a knack for shredding any piece of paper left within reach, acting like a personal hole puncher. He has truly won our hearts and will remain with us for all his days.
Meet Flash, our resident Red-footed tortoise who has three legs! The reason for his missing limb remains a mystery, but it doesn’t hinder his daily activities. He navigates his surroundings quite well, although a bit slower than an average tortoise. Flash is approximately 20 years old and has happily found his forever home with us here at KBH.
Meeko was our very first ferret intake in 2022. One night, he was wandering the streets all by himself when a kind family brought him to the rescue. Since then, he has made KBH his forever home, charming everyone he encounters along the way.

Tuki is our beloved Sun Conure parrot. He joined us shortly after our rescue began accepting parrots in need of a new home. Although our intention was to find him a permanent family, he had different ideas and captured our hearts with his affectionate personality. His endearing nature certainly compensates for his rather loud voice.
Manda is our latest addition to the Ball Python family. Though she's only a few years old, she has found her forever home at KBH, where she will play a vital role in educating the public. Her mission is to raise awareness about the significance of snakes and the issues surrounding the release of non-native species like her in Florida. Man

Her mission is to raise awareness about the significance of snakes and the issues surrounding the release of non-native species like her in Florida. Manda will help convey the message that snakes are not to be feared; they deserve the same love and compassion as any other animal.
