About Us

Founded in 2021, Keeks’ Birdhouse is a nonprofit animal rescue and sanctuary dedicated to giving animals in need a second chance. Based in South Florida, we rescue, rehabilitate, and provide compassionate care for parrots, small mammals, reptiles, and farm animals.

Our mission is to provide every animal in our care with proper nutrition, safe housing, enrichment, and individualized attention. Whenever possible, we work to find loving, responsible forever homes. For animals who cannot be rehomed, we provide a safe and nurturing lifelong sanctuary.

Education and community outreach are an important part of our mission. We strive to promote responsible animal ownership, proper care, and a better understanding of the unique needs of different species. Through community engagement and educational opportunities, we hope to inspire compassion, respect, and lifelong commitment to animal welfare.

Every rescue, recovery, and second chance is made possible through the generosity of our community. Whether through donations, volunteering, fostering, or simply spreading awareness, your support helps us provide the care, comfort, and safe environments our animals deserve. Together, we can make a lasting difference in their lives.

Please Note: Keeks’ Birdhouse is not a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center and cannot accept or treat wild animals. If you find an injured, orphaned, or distressed wild animal, please contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or your local wildlife authorities for assistance.

Need Help With Injured Wildlife?

For injured or orphaned native wildlife that are not rabies-vector species, we recommend contacting Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center serving South Florida.
