Adoption Policies
Adopters must agree to the following:
- Pay adoption fee required for the pet
- Not breed the pet
- Provide an annual veterinary examination
- Feed a well-rounded diet according to the pet
- Notify KBH immediately if the pet is lost or stolen
- Contact KBH immediately if for any reason the pet cannot remain in your custody
- The pet adopted from KBH will not be sold, adopted or given away to another party
Adopters pay an adoption fee, which helps to offset the costs of medical exams, food and enclosures.
KBH reserves the right to decline placement of any pet if the home does not feel like it would be a good match. Our adoption fees are standardized to help us cover the care of the animals at the rescue and those to come in the future.
Adopted pets may not be sold, given away, bred or used for any type of monetary purpose.
